Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift is an American country singer and songwriter. The songs of Taylor Swift are about the heartache of an infant girl. Swift showed an interest in music at an early age, and quickly moved from roles in theatre for children until her first performance before an audience of tens of thousands. The moment Swift performed The Star-Spangled Banner in front of an Philadelphia 76ers match at age 11. She was already creating songs. The next year she started playing the guitar. Swift, who took her influences from the music of Shania Twain and that of her band the Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks in the world of music from the country genre, created her original songs to reflect the feeling of being alienated. Swift's parents moved her from Pennsylvania to Tennessee at the age of thirteen after they sold their Pennsylvania farm. This allowed Swift to be more active in trying to find labels that would promote country music in Nashville.
